In association with external company delivered training to operational teams on the rig.Chairman of the Offshore Weather PanelThe Offshore Weather Panel is a cross-industry body reporting to the E & P Forum, whose objective is to advise users on the range and scope of weather forecasting services available to the offshore industry. Specific input was supplied regarding validation methodology and forecasting process.Training/LecturingFurther to HSE/UKOAA Workshop devised a training course for offshore users of weather information. This involved devising a syllabus and course notes as well as delivery of lectures through ASET in Aberdeen. Delivered training to Rig Operators at Aberdeen College.IMarEST – Presenter of Forecasting module within Metocean Awareness Couses Sept. 2014 & March 2015.Offshore DetachmentsOffshore detachments providing on-site forecasting advice to a jack-up rig in the Arabian Gulf, drill-ship to the west of Shetlands, semi-submersibles, diving vessels in the East Shetland Basin, as well as floaters in the Norwegian Sector, and Central North Sea.November 2009/Sept 2012 on detachment to Barrow to provide forecasting services to assist in the safe exitting of the first two ships of the Astute Class submarines.
