I am a programme manager for a global manufacturing company, working on a cybersecurity programme to implement and rollout Network segmentation across 166 sites worldwide (manufacturing facilities, offices & technical centers) using Palo Alto technology. I led a team of Product Managers with accountability for defining product strategy; business ownership and project management of new product development, product improvements & new service introduction projects; in-life management and performance (financial and operational) of the product portfolio across all market segments and channels. The portfolio of products included Mobile, Fixed, IOT (Connectivity, Security, SIM Management, Asset Tracking, Connected Car) and ICT products in the areas of Connectivity, Unified Comms, Security, Fraud Detection, Mobility, Cloud/SaaS, App Development, eHealth, Education, Media and Data Analytics.

I was responsible for the end to end product development life cycle and programs for launching innovative products for SME and Enterprise customers.

I managed multiple external partners to ensure agreed objectives, project timelines, budgets and SLAs were achieved. I worked with partners to ensure they performed in supporting in-life products and also to develop new products.

I project managed a large number of IT, Network and New Product Development projects during my time as a senior project manager in O2. I was responsible for all project management activities – planning, scheduling, risk management, change management, budget management, quality management, stakeholder management and handover to Operations teams. I managed projects in the areas of: Call Centre system replacements, Billing system changes, Prepaid network & charging system replacement (major program), Banks ATM top-up changes, roaming projects, Finance Business Intelligence & Audit compliance.I was the programme manager responsible for the replacement of a core part of O2s infrastructure comprising new key core network elements, billing/charging system replacement and integration with multiple IT systems.I was the programme manager responsible for the launch of O2s Fixed Broadband & Voice services into the Irish marketplace. This was one of the largest programmes ever undertaken by O2, and the scale and size of the impact to the company business units was significant. The programme was broken down into five sub-projects each with its own project manager for Technology Readiness (including software development), Business Readiness (including process design & development), Trial, Procurement & Legal and a 3rd party partners programme. I was overall responsible for the programme, with single responsibility for budget, schedule and reporting into a steering group of senior managers.

I joined Accenture’s Management Consulting division as a college graduate at Analyst level and gained promotion to Consultant, Senior Consultant and Manager.
