Global Service Delivery Manager - Active Directory

After the successful Active Directory implementations across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle-East and Africa, a global team was formed to continue to drive forward the development, support and best practices of Colgate’s Active Directory environment, whilst ensuring that standards and compliance was maintained at each site and domain in the forest.I was appointed Global SDM and chaired the global design and Global Enterprise Admin teams.As Global Service Delivery Manager, my remit was to drive and coordinate all AD related projects from proposal to approval, then design to implementation, ensure scope and deliverables were met by controlling and monitoring all project plans, ensure approved projects were funded, and directing project managers and resources to ensure sponsor and business expectations were met, whist ensuring transparency through regular project reporting to the senior management team.Some of the projects and implementations completed by the teams during my tenure;• Annual Risk & Health Assessment Program for Active Directory (ADRAP), which was typically a two week on-site engagement with Microsoft and Colgate’s Enterprise and Domain Admin teams in New Jersey.• Implementation of Global Operating Procedures for Active Directory• IBM Director - Centralised server hardware event management (later Tivoli)• Centralised server patch management (WSUS) and DHCP services• Quest – AD event monitoring and reporting• Implementation of Microsoft Systems Management Server• PC-Lockdown of Colgate’s 26,000 PCs and laptops (no local administrator groups)• Manufacturing domain and implementations \ Domain consolidations• Disaster Recovery, audit and compliance.
