Worked with outside bankers to and local audit firm to achieve all accounting functions from reconciliations to year end annual audits. Had a staff of 5 to develop and help complete all accounting functions. Ownership group also owned 3 motorcycle dealerships, which had the same analytics and demands.

Responsible for month end financials and consolidations of foreign financial reporting. Worked in all aspects of accounting. Upon the passing of the founder of the company, Mr. Tommy Fulghum, worked through the sale of the company to Rentech Inc of California (2013). Along with all the accounting changes/modifications that occur with an acquisition.

Managed several locally owned businesses. The primary business was SOMA BLUE, Inc a medical device company, selling through both wholesale and retail channels. Business was a purchase of a prior competitor in Birmingham Alabama. Played an integral part of acquiring and relocating the business. We also managed Osbon Properties which acquired and developed downtown properties for mixed use of both commercial and residential purposes. The owner was also a majority partner in a mail order bakery which we oversaw the finances of that project.

Home Office for 120 plus retail jewelry stores in the southeastern United States. Neat, privately owned company, Mr and Mrs Friedman built the company from the ground up. Enjoyed participating in its grow and maturation before their children sold the company. Managed a staff of 20 while at the company, spearheaded the transfer of moving in-house accounts receivable to third party management and discovered a $250k over payment of sales taxes. Always had a great staff that made the daily work enjoyable and a fun place to work.
