Working with the Industrial Materials for the Future (IMF) program, he estimated projected program benefits and identified performance measures that link IMF program activities to those benefits, resulting in more defensible benefit estimates. He also analyzed the logic of Aluminum and Metal Casting Programs, resulting in performance measures that link program activities to projected benefits. He developed ITP’s impact projection model that is used to estimate projected program benefits. In addition, Dr. Mortensen conducted a performance measures workshop for DOE’s Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability, resulting in program logic models and program area metrics.
