Hello and thanks for reviewing my profile.I have worked for Con Edison since April of 1988. The entirety of my career has been spent in the Substation Operations organization. For the first 14 years of my career, I spent it working around the clock as a Mechanic maintaining various substation equipment throughout the Con ed service territory. I have a keen interest in learning, so this enabled me to be exposed to many problem scenarios, equipment and taught me many lessons over the years. I became quite proficient at troubleshooting our DC system as well as performing the various testing required of our equipment. The equipment varied in voltage classes from 13kV – 500kV. In 2002, I progressed into a management role (Supervisor) and was in charge of both the maintenance and operations of multiple key facilities. I ran multiple crews during critical transmission outages keeping my people safe above all else. In 2006, I got promoted to a Field Operations Planner where I was able to plan and guide Supervisors through jobs and emergencies. Recently I’ve been asked to help create a hands-on type of training center. This would allow mechanics of different disciplines to learn without the concern of high voltage present. This has been a nice break from the daily routine and helps with the bigger picture in helping the company.Thanks for taking your time in reading my story. Have a great day!!
