Profile bio

About John Murphy

As an experienced executive, I have been known for my entrepreneurial mindset and recruiting/advising & growing early career individuals - and other key talent - while building positive organizational culture. I am now committed to paying it forward by sharing and applying best practices for people and in organizational development through consulting, teaching, and program development. I am energized by and focused on improving each of the worlds I am part of by leading with kindness and helping individuals, families, and organizations achieve higher levels of motivation and success – creating positive impact one day, one person, one family, one organization at a time. I/we will accomplish this by recognizing each case is unique. And as such, recognize that each situation requires a listening-oriented, flexible, and empathetic approach geared to optimizing the outcomes and transformations for each person/team/organization entrusted to my/our consultation, coaching, mentoring, and/or advocacy. I am a big "quotes person". Here are seven in particular I have aspired to adhere to in my life and career - and will continue to.1) “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” - Leo Buscaglia2) " People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel." - Maya Angelou3) “Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle.” - Plato4) "Do not let life beat you, because it will if you let it." - My Mom and Dad5) "Humble enough to prepare, confident enough to perform." - Tom Coughlin6) "The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life." - Rocky Balboa7) "Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. So choose wisely.” - Roy T. Bennett
