John Nelson is a senior research analyst with more than 30 years of experience – nearly 15 years with the Center for Naval Analyses and over 20 years with AMERICAN SYSTEMS – assessing policies, technologies, concepts, doctrine, and operations including on-the-ground analysis support to the Flag/General Officer-level in Somalia and Bosnia, multidisciplinary analysis of the insurgency in Anbar province, direct analysis support to Commanding General, I Marine Expeditionary Force, and current leadership roles in multiple NATO initiatives.
