Senior International Defense Analyst
CurrentPlayed lead roles in multiple NATO studies over the past 10 years (which includes winning a 2008 NATO Scientific Achievement Award). Current support includes: day-to-day oversight of the NATO Non-Lethal Weapons Capabilities-Based Assessment (SAS-078) and the efforts of its 10 participating nations and 3 NATO organizations, authoring and presenting a paper at the recent Analytical Support to Defence Transformation Symposium (SAS-081), and ongoing support to the Non-Lethal Capabilities Defence Against Terrorism initiative (DAT-11). Other major responsibilities have included strategic planning and alternative futures analysis (supporting the development of Vision documents, organizational plans, and concepts), extensive Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) contributions, policy assessments (authoring the policy annex of the NLW Joint Mission Area Analysis/Joint Mission Need Analysis), and analysis of the insurgency in Iraq’s Anbar Province.
