I am an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience building and leading global teams. I have been engaged in most of the major technology initiatives that introduce new technology or process throughout my career. One of my earliest roes was leading the architecture of one of the earliest of a large scale data warehouses in the credit card industry. Since then, I have successfully delivered transformational changes such as the introduction of distributed computing, CORBA, web development frameworks and web based staff systems. I also was responsible for the introduction of architecture practices such as enterprise architecture, software architecture, and User Centered Design. I learned throughout my career that a vision is only as good as the ability to deliver. My success is due to my ability to pair vision with execution. I continue to adopt proven methodologies as they mature such as Agile Development and Design Thinking.I am recognized as a pragmatic leader who creatively solves business problems. This involves engaging with decision makers at all levels to develop a roadmap that delivers the highest priority outcomes that is managed within agreed timelines and budgets.My career has been defined by taking on initiatives that align with my entrepreneurial strengths. I understand the importance of communicating a clear vision, building a small team of high-performing, passionate colleagues and implementing strong Demand Management practices to ensure that the outcome materializes. As part of a global organization, to collaborate across the matrixed organization is critical. I ensure that technology initiatives are aligned with the strategic business objectives and the teams work collaboratively across organizational boundaries. As a leader, I foster an environment where the team members can safely explore the edges of their responsibility and look for new opportunities to improve the foundation.
