Enterprise Quality Assurance - System Engineer
CurrentDesign, communicate, achieve approval, and implement innovative technical solutions to enterprise software quality assurance challenges.I developed performance analysis and load testing capabilities with LoadRunner, Fiddler, and Dynatrace for enterprise applications written in .Net, JAVA, and PHP. I performed analysis and designed load tests with a small team. We developed business processes and reporting using industry standard reporting models. Over a five-year period, the NGA enterprise test organization grew performance testing from an initial pilot to a regularly used service. When the enterprise moved to Windows 10, key applications experience visual performance issues. I identified high context switching as the root cause using the Windows Performance Monitor. Multiple applications were conflicting. Using the Windows Performance Analysis Kit (WPA) I performed stack traces to identify conflicting processes that could be eliminated such as the touch pad process. I also identified inefficient rendering by the applications using QT, an open-source GUI library. I designed a scalable automation architecture to support enterprise level test events. It uses GUI and API test automation redundantly, small transaction tests assembled into enterprise workflows to ensure system interoperability. Components are Unified Functional Test (UFT), Postman, Newman, Smartbear Test Complete, Fiddler, and Dynatrace. I developed custom test design tools for combinatorial parameter interaction.I designed a user experience test lab consisting of two workstation and a WAN emulator firewalled off the main network. I also performed the Information Security Officer (ISO) duties for the lab to acquire and maintain enterprise security accreditation. The lab enables testing applications under simulated WAN conditions for both user experience testing exiting applications, and engineering cloud migrations.I developed custom QA support tools in C#, JavaScript, and Excel VBA.
