Oversee and perform (Hands On) day to day operations of the warehouse related to the receipt, storing, invoicing, picking and shipping orders to customer;Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system; Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow; Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures defined to the entire warehouse operation; Implement actions to ensure high level of customer satisfaction;Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement; Training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment; Overseeing the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment; Advise employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; Ensure warehouse is always organized, with all problems being immediately address; Responsible for warehouse budget including cost of labourControlling all transports for the company and negotiates rates with freight carriers. Ensure all health and safety requirements are met and also take responsibility for security of building and stock; Ensures merchandise is, loaded and shipped to clients in an efficient, accurate and timely manner;Determines shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedule.
