My background is dominantly residential construction. Most of my construction was done while under the employment of WSA Construction Inc. in the San Juan Islands. During my 12 years with the company we built many projects from the simple garage to a 40 acre private island that held the foundation for a 2,500 sq/ft caretakers home with the main family residence to be in the range of 11,000 sq/ft. And I might mention that the island had no power or water...initially. At the beginning of my time with WSA I was put into a roaming position where I floated between crews during all phases of the construction process. From shoveling dirt for the foundation to be built, I eventually worked my way up to a lead carpenter and roofing foreman for the company. Having a great team to work with made this a very enjoyable place to work.The satisfaction of watching a piece of earth develop into an architectural masterpiece and being an intricate part of the building process from ground breaking to turnkey has led me to the design field. As a first year student one of my designs was chosen to be built for the 17th "Touch The Future House" at Spokane Community College. Now, having my ideas, sketches and overall vision come to life has been very gratifying.My newest goal, now that I have graduated with my AAS Degree in Architectural Technology, is to become part of great firm of architects and engineers where I can grow, develop, and apply my skills. A team who takes pride in their work.
