In 2012 the parent company of Polyhistor Group commissioned a study aimed at increasing project revenues, quality of results and client satisfaction. A key recommendation was to create teams with members whose education and experience was multidisciplinary. This would reduce the project team size and increase the speed of results by using team members that can more easily see across fences in the way of success. A 'Special Forces' type of group to handle the most complex and urgent projects.

Based at the University of Illinois Chicago, Center for Advanced Research Design and Exploration (CADRE), John reaches out to Chicago area manufacturers, assesses their challenges as well as opportunities, and delivers IMEC's extensive resources to help them become more profitable and competitive.
