Comcast – Reporting Analyst – West Division – Is Tools And Delivery
Sacramento, California Area
The West Division footprint consists of 28,000 employees, 7 million customers, covering 8 states, generating $12 billion in revenue. Responsible for developing and enhancing data streams and reporting for division wide, regional, and specialized needs, while operating under difficult environmental constraints.• West Division Daily Operation Report (DOR) (3rd Gen.) Replacing 7 regional reports using conflicting logic, created tool for meeting the needs of division and regional management, marketing, and operations. Built solution to process billing system data, including simultaneous processing of regional data sets, automated product and sales channel mapping, and robust recovery safeguards in case of network/data failures. Provided robust daily summary and account level details on all new, pending, and completed product transactions. • NEO ID views / database. Since Employee DB is unwieldy, created a means for 30 plus reporting analysts to quickly locate Operator, Technician, and Sales IDs ownership, supervisor relationships, sales channel, occupation, and function, thus enabling critical division based reports.• Security Audits. Security team failed meeting timeframes with existing labor intensive, excel driven reports. Implemented new reports, enabling the quick identification of erroneous / lapsed users, meeting required compliance timeframes. Utilized BIDS/SSIS, along with SSRS, to process and display information. • Employee DB cleanup project. Controlled by an external team, with no additional ownership stakes, it was riddled with errors and underutilized. I coordinated the efforts for IS Reporting to eliminate erroneous IDs, automating data feeds, and liaison between regional, divisional, and corporate staff. Making DB a single stop for creating and maintaining IDs. Created an accurate single system of record for west division to utilize.
