While interning at the Governor's Council for People with Disabilities, I reviewed studies on disabled employees’ benefits to employers through the cost of retraining, work culture, and customer loyalty to create material to educate employers. Using this background, I spearheaded a collaboration with OCRA and Angola Indiana Main Streets to improve accessibility, developed an initial survey to assess the accessibility of the community and employers, and analyzed data on community surveys to determine Angola’s accessibility needs and initiate projects to address those accessibility needs.

While interning for the Eskenazi Compliance Department, I reviewed the process by which important mail came to Compliance, reported back to the team, and developed solutions for flaws in the process. I assessed the effectiveness of the Compliance new hire orientation, revised the PowerPoint, and created a survey to continually evaluate the audience's response to the presentation. I analyzed a dataset to determine if prescribed durable medical equipment meets federal and state regulations. I created a reference sheet to quickly find federal and state regulations and updates.

I advised on the disability inclusion strategy and offered tools to help make their website more accessible. I researched potential speakers for Hispanic Heritage and Disability Awareness Month., and calculated the seniority of rehires.

At the Office of Disability Affairs, I researched and wrote a report on the various policy approaches to and impacts on the different stakeholders caused by Indanapolis's implementation of Visitability standard's requirement of a ramp and first-floor bathroom to new buildings. I researched and evaluated website accessibility and the inaccessibility of sidewalks caused by scooters being improperly left on sidewalks.
