Onsite IT Consultant at a Nuclear Power Facility. Part of a 10 person team. Initial responsibilities included implimentation of Token Ring Network and rollout of Microsoft Windows desktops to 1200 users.Once project was complete, I was one of two consultants asked to remain onsite and offered a contract extension to provide support for the new desktops and to track and trend reported issues/problems. During this time I developed several processes that reduced repeat problem/support calls and provided input on future growth of the network and desktop environment.At completion of first year contract I was offered a new on-site consulting contract at the clients headquarters as the primary liaison between the IT department and several groups (HR, Executive, Legal, and Public Relations) as they worked to migrate each departments computing environments into a single, networked, infrastructure. During the first 6 months at the corporate location I developed, presented and obtained buy-in from each department and IT to move forward with the intended plan. During this time I was also offered a contract buy-out and a full time in-house position with the client.Migration of all workstations, servers and networks into the companies single infrastructure were completed in less than 8 months.
