Most recently I have served as the Director of Bands and Orchestras at Northrop High School. All of ourensembles consistently earn gold ratings at ISSMA contests, including the concert bands, orchestra,marching band, jazz band, and show choir backup band. I am very proud to lead an incredibly diverseprogram of performance ensembles, exposing our students to as many different opportunities and as muchquality literature as possible. No other high school in our district can offer the variety of performanceensembles that we are able to offer.I have also worked with our fine arts team to produce several high quality, large scale musicals. My primaryresponsibility was conducting the orchestra in the pit.

The program was very small when I arrived at Union Township.Teaching 6th grade through 12th gradeallowed me to build the program and expand the program offerings.The marching band became acompetitive group, consistently earning gold ratings at the Festival classification. I began the high school jazzband and earned gold ratings at the ISSMA jazz festival.The middle school bands never went to contest, andunder my direction consistently earned gold ratings at ISSMA contest.I have also worked very closely with the drama director to produce several high quality stage productions. Myprimary responsibility was conducting the orchestra. However, I also collaborated with the director onstagecraft, lighting, and sound design.
