About John W. VeatchI have had a very successful real estate career in the Washington D.C. area. As a Realtor I dealt exclusively in the buying and selling land. My success was due in no small part to some unique skill sets I possessed. You see in addition to my training in real estate sales I am also an urban planner, a civil engineer and a land surveyor. Because I was Vice President of this nations 23 largest Architecture, Engineering and Planning firm I had a built-in reservoir of land users as clients. At one time, in addition to scores of locale land developers and builders, I had 7 of the top 10 home builders in this country as clients. My participation in these projects ranged from adviser up to becoming a partner. I took several of these projects from identifying the property right through final approval and out sales. Starting with the initial development feasibility study to the boundary, topographic and soil surveys, through the, concept plan, rezoning, preliminary plan, to record plats and final engineering I was directly responsible for every phase of the approval processes.
