John Witcher is a Basketball Coach at Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens at New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). Colleagues describe him as "Hello, sirs or ma’am’s. RJohn Witcher is a very dedicated and hard working young man. He’s willing to put in the work that’s necessary to reach whatever goals he sets for himself. Mr. Witcher is a co-founder of The Artest Foundation. He also is the Athletic Director of the girl’s basketball program at Variety Boys&Girls Club of Queens. He coaches our girls AAU squad. He’s done a great job as coach and sense 2017, we’ve had 9 of our players to enter college from our program. One of our players has drawn interest from Yale University but from an academic standpoint. Whoever decides to have on their team- whether it’s job wise or sports wise will not regret it.
