Tasked with the setup and operation of a rapid response prototype machine shop to support conceptual type manufacturing requirements with accelerated schedule needs. Developed shop processes to include procurement, planning, inspecting and manufacturing execution.

Day to day duties include:Manage production efforts across multiple Government and Yulista manufacturing facilities.Effectively assists with supervision of manufacturing personnel.Ensure products are produced on time and meet or exceed quality goals.Create and maintain programmatic documentation to insure efficient planning and execution.Oversee the production process and maintain an up-to-date production schedule.Strong interpersonal skills to maintain an effective relationship among project team, management, and the customer representatives.Provide weekly and monthly production status feedback.Work under the general direction of the Engineering and Manufacturing Director, work with team members and perform duties as assigned.Manage adherence to prescribed quality procedures for first pass quality of products exceeding planned goals.Conduct timely performance appraisal for direct reports.Ensure continual improvement with overall quality of product.Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, systems and processes.Ensure complete compliance to prescribed QMS and 5S processes.Assess manufacturing operations staffing and skill requirements, and develop plans to address needs.Institutionalize manufacturing best practice tools and processes.Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives.Ensure implementation and execution of safety procedure by manufacturing personnel.Establish and maintain a standard of performance for the operation.Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedure for all production operations.

Assigned to the MRP Implementation Team and tasked with developing, testing and implementing a MRP system involving COSTPOINT, SHAREPOINT and Dynafact. Developed desktop processes for the Dynafact shop floor control software to train the end user to perform their daily functions for manufacturing planning, procurement, scheduling and execution. Trained the end user in the execution of their daily functions. Worked as part of a 3 person core team to configure the COSTPOINT/DELTEK Materials module to accommodate company policies and manufacturing practices. Assisted in developing a more efficient and transparent means of submitting Work Order and Purchase Request requirements, providing an automated approval and document log process.Updated all affected QMS documents to capture the changes to the affected SOP’s and quality documents insure AS9100/AS9110 compliance.Assisted in developing a more efficient and transparent means of submitting Work Order and Purchase Request requirements, providing an automated approval and document log process.Worked as part of a 3 person core team to configure the COSTPOINT/DELTEK Materials module to accommodate company policies and manufacturing practices.
