In 2022 John Elliott completed the first ever camel expedition through every state and territory in Australia. The walk spanned over 3.5 years and 12,173 kms making it one of the longest and slowest journeys by foot in Australian history. During the journey he was met with many challenges including drought, bush fires, snowstorms, floods and even a cliff fall in the Victorian high country. Now he has returned to his hometown in Perth with a new perspective on life and business and shares his stories and lessons from the trek.

With a passion for the hospitality industry from a consumers perceptive I have entered the challenging world of hospitality from an owners perspective with the mindset to have a look behind the curtain and see if there is something that I can learn from the industry and something I can bring to the table from my travels as an entrepreneur. As a part of this challenge, and to have clear intentions of my participation in this venture I have coincided this with a 12 month predominantly alcohol free period for myself personally.Lost Society now has a participation in the "Heath and Fitness" market through their new product NBS Eatery, which provides No "BS" meals for people focused on health and fitness goals. The organic food is provided at sensational pricing making it viable and cost effective to live a healthy eating lifestyle.The venues ability to also provide functions and have industry focused events is also a target over the first 12 months of my involvement.

Insuranceshop.com.au was purchased in 2011 with a mindset to release several online insurance products, however we are now looking at a more focused group of products to be launched in combination with some of our Key Insurance Partners.More information in regards to Insurance shop and its pending release date will follow soon.

Zippy has moved into a new space online. Daily deals is a massively emerging market in Australia and with the CEO of Daily Deals.co.uk Gerard Doyle at the helm alongside Adam Samuel Zippys emergence into this space has been swift and brutal. As a previous board member and director of Zippy.com.au I was able to assist with this transition and set up of Zippy in its current format. I look at what Gerard and I were able to test and achieve over our 5 years together and thank him for all his support and advice during this period. Gerard and Adam now are a key part of the success of All Trades Cover during 2014 as our development continues with this exciting opportunity.
