Within my time in Think Together, I have learned to adapt in various class environments that range from elementary to middle school students. I am able to organize a class into safely secure lines and provide options for the students’ activities on the spot, whether I am required to be indoors or outdoors. I also partake in facilitating my higher up’s responsibilities when they were unavailable for the day, such as managing phone calls with parents and setting up a plan, such as what curriculum is needed for my co-workers to carry out and apply. On an average day at work, I ensure that each program leader has all their needs met like materials and prepping time as well as checking for the accuracy of attendance sheets. One recent achievement I have made is working with a students with special needs for the very first time in this past summer. I found working with them to be a valuable experience where I needed to balance their needs and the class’ needs simultaneously. This summer allowed me to delegate responsibilities to my co-worker with open communication on what was the best way to lead a classroom. What I have noticed consistently is that the parents, students, and co-workers show appreciation for any support and time that is given to them and I find it to warm up the workplace.
