Conference Team Leader, September 2007 - Responsibilities;To provide full training to all new members of staff on all systems and company procedures, and to act as a 'buddy' throughout the training periodBe first point of contact within the department for all minor issues among the teamWorking along side the line manager, organising staff educational trips and ensuring consultants are up to date on venue knowledgeTo work on tender proposals, ensuring best rates and the most suitable venues are proposedTo run face to face demonstrations with prospective clients on all systems and programmes Lead by example, with a positive attitude and motivation towards the team, duties and clients alikeEnsure consultants are up to date on all aspects of their role and to provide training on new programmes and procedures Work in conjunction with the IT department, testing new versions of the bespoke system and offering suggestions for improvementTo check 'After Event' Questionnaires and deal with any issues on the day of the event, liaising with both the client and venue until a sufficient resolution is agreedTo assist when the line manager is unavailable, checking new client proposals and ensuring the correct options are being put forward, the best rates are being quoted and the information provided is accurate

Responsibilities;To deliver an innovative, quality conference consultancy service that exceeds client's expectations for conference, meetings and eventsProvide a total venue finding service, including site visiting with the client, rate negotiations, production of proposals, event organisation and after event supportBuild individual client relationships that guarantee client loyalty and repeat businessTo ascertain from the client their specific requirements and the nature of their event and input the details on to the relevant databaseAs appropriate, meet with clients to discuss venue options and explore future business optionsTo maintain regular contact with the client throughout the processing of the enquiry, taking action where necessary regarding provisional/confirmed bookings

Responsibilities;To provide technical support in all areas, such as projection, sound, lighting and computer presentations on road shows lasting between one and two monthsTo provide on-site liaison with the client on a daily basis for sound checks and adjustments to computer presentationsAs a senior representative from The Show Company, I was on site before, during and after the conference to provide total customer serviceLiaising with the conference venue staff, running through the organisation of the day, checking the fire exits and other health and safety issuesTo provide assistance to delegates from the registration to the end of the conference
