The one thing that most motivates me is why. Although I do not have an engineering background, I have an engineering approach to problem solving in that I strive to understand how and why things work the way they do. As a strategic and critical thinker, I find myself drawn toward opportunities that allow me to apply my curiosity and solve difficult problems. This drive led me to Quorum Software following my undergraduate studies where I worked as a consultant implementing software solutions for oil and gas clients. Despite not having an engineering background, I was determined to learn as much as I could about my clients’ oilfield operations in order to onboard them as smoothly as possible. This grit made me a trusted member of my team and provided me the opportunity to serve as the lead consultant on my team’s largest projects, including one for one of the world’s largest midstream companies. Consulting exposed me to various clients’ businesses, but I knew I needed to learn more about the different business functions in order to become a more well-rounded leader which led me to pursue an MBA. I soon developed a passion for financial analysis which provided me an outlet to think critically about difficult business problems and better understand how and why financial decisions impact an organization.Amidst my passion for pursuing the why, what is not lost on me is the importance of people. I am a strong believer in the power of people, and I believe people are any organization’s greatest asset. As a leader, I strive to build strong teams and put others in positions to succeed through collaboration, empathy, and communication.When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, exercising, watching and playing sports, volunteering with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and spending time with family and friends. I am actively growing my network and am happy to connect.
