Doing more than my job description, I introduced myself to Information Technology ten years ago, when I volunteered to assist the IT Administrator with the refurbishing of older, donated computers to replace dis-functioning workstations on the network. I studied for and obtained four Microsoft Certifications while company growth continued and more system expansion came under my purview. As the Information Technology Coordinator, I was in control of the acquisition of; internet services, software, computer hardware, and network appliance purchasing. Challenged with a system wide disaster, recovery was completed by performing clean installations of the server software and workstation operating systems, conducted by myself in one weekend, totaling, 1 server and 45 employee and student/client desktops. Twice designed network topography to meet ISP requirements for data and Voice Over IP telephone criteria. Developed the Domain into subnets dedicated to four independent divisions with local resources available to each, with all resource access easily given to leadership and security members .
