Provided expert guidance on a wide range of strategic policies and security programs for U.S. defense cooperation in the South and Central Asia (SCA) region.• Coordinated high-profile engagements between the SCA bureau and Department of Defense counterparts, including Defense Security Cooperation Agency, U.S. Pacific Command, Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy, as well as the defense cooperation offices for the SCA posts. Routinely engaged with high-ranking Malaysian government officials regarding security assistance programs. Prepared cables, reports, briefings, and decision memoranda for senior government officials. Planned and executed 19 program management review conferences, bringing together a variety of U.S. stakeholders (including NAVSEA and SPAWAR) and our MAF partners to achieve program objectives. • Expertly managed the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program for all branches of the MAF. This portfolio included 87 active cases valued at over $1 billion, and featured the Royal Malaysian Air Force's high-priority F-18 program. Coordinated between MAF and U.S. partners (including NAVAIR, Navy IPO, and AFSAC) to ensure effective management of all programs. Advised senior leadership, including U.S. Ambassador, on implementation of all security cooperation programs.• Served as an integral member of the interagency U.S. Embassy Country Team, working closely with Defense Attaché Office, Foreign Commercial Service, and Political sections to further U.S. defense trade and overall policy objectives for Malaysia. Coordinated with embassy Economic section for Blue Lantern verification cases.
