Joint principle investigator on an Enterprise Ireland Innovation Partnership project with Intel Ireland on modelling and analysis of the semi-conductor sector (2006-2009). The role required the development and delivery of two modules to introduce First Year Engineering students to computer software skills such as word processing, spreadsheet analysis and presentation design and basic programming skills.

I worked 3 days a week in Boart Longyear in Shannon, Co Clare as part of my Masters Degree (by research) developing simulation models of segments of the manufacturing system, conducting experiments and reporting results. Some of the work completed included investigating alternative capital investment decisions to aleviate the bottleneck, investigating alternative manufacturing routing strategies, investigating bottleneck work scheduling and investigating inventory management strategies
