Boosted employee moral despite a series of job cubs that greatly reduced the number of editors and reporters. Directed the site's editorial coverage, including devising, assigning, editing and posting stories. Continually updated the home page and the landing pages for the various sections on the site. Wrote a weekly humor column that was a reader favorite. In two years, pageviews at CFO.com went up 50% -- and the site started to turn a profit.

Launch editor of eCFO, a start-up publication for the Economist Group covering e-commerce and information technology. The editorial staff consisted of just two editors; almost all writing was done by a group of freelancers who contributed regularly to the magazine. Assigned and edited most of the material in the book. Also wrote stories, including covers and a regular column. Despite a small staff, eCFO was named one of the top three new business magazine launches in 2000 by ASBPE, beating out scores of bigger and better-known consumer titles.

Launch Editor of the first English-language magazine written exclusively for corporate finance executives in Asia. Built a staff from scratch, hiring all members of the edit and art team. Managed a group of freelancers working in various countries in southeast Asia and China. Also coordinated with the Economist Intelligence Unit to secure proprietary data to help augment stories in magazine. Directed editorial coverage, including assigning stories, editing copy and overseeing layout. Spoke at conferences and seminars. CFO Asia premiered in September 1998 -- during the height of the financial crisis in Asia -- but managed to win advertising and critical acclaim.
