My career has taken me from the sprawling mountains of Appalachia, to the rural banks of the Mississippi River, and the bustling epicenter of government - Washington DC. I finally settled in one of America’s fastest growing cities, Columbus, Ohio. My communication skills improved with each step in my career. As a student at Appalachian State University, I learned how to express progressive values so these positions resonated with others in one of the most conservative areas of the country. I was taught how to apply political campaign tactics to a “no texting while driving” campaign while working for one of DC’s most trusted public affairs firms. Most recently, while working for a national political communications company, I communicated with voters at their doorsteps, in their mailboxes, and on their phones and tablets.Today, I take lessons learned from each of these positions and places to ensure voters, organizations, influencers, and decision-makers hear my clients’ voices.
