My primary responsibilities include configuration, upgrading, and supporting the Windows Active Directory domains, the Microsoft Exchange environment, and Microsoft Instant Messaging environment; along with managing a team of 6 System Engineers. I currently support 4500 users in 10 sites across the US and Asia. The primary AD environment has 2 domains with 16 domain controllers, currently running Windows 2008 R2. I have performed upgrades for AD environments from Windows 2000 to 2008r2. We also have two stand-alone domains with Windows 2008 R2. The Exchange environment consist of Exchange 2016; running on 14 servers, with full HA and DR fail over to a remote facility. I continue support the RightFax 16.1 with direct integration to Exchange; this includes any upgrades and maintenance. I continue be the lead on other projects that require Windows servers, from SQL servers to working with vendors to install and configure their applications to support the needs of the company. Deployed three products to support our physical security group, C*Cure 9000 for access control, Pelco DS-SRV units for video in our small sites, and Nice Vision for video in our large sites. I work closely with other groups in the company to provide support for project that require access to AD or the messaging infrastructure. Designed and deployed Exchange 2016. Currently working with the team to configure Office 365 to migrate from Exchange 2016 to Exchange Online, which includes setting up hybrid identity with on-premise Active Directory and Azure.

I recently upgraded this AD environment from 2003 R2. We also have three stand-alone domains, one running Windows 2003 R2 and two with Windows 2008 R2. The Exchange environment consist of Exchange 2010; running on 17 servers, with full HA and DR fail over to a remote facility. Our current internal IM product is OCS 2007 R2, with a clustered SQL environment and dual front-ends. I continue support the RightFax 9.4 with direct integration to Exchange; this includes any upgrades and maintenance. I continue be the lead on other projects that require Windows servers, from SQL servers to working with vendors to install and configure their applications to support the needs of the company. I am also the lead on the international sites which requires traveling to these sites for moves, redesigns, and shut downs. I work closely with other groups in the company to provide support for project that require access to AD or the messaging infrastructure.

I have designed and deployed a Office Communicator Server 2007 R2 environment and converted the user community from Exchange 2000 Messenger to Office Communicator. I also support the RightFax and Blackberry environments; this includes any upgrades and maintenance. I have been the lead on other projects that require Windows servers, from SQL servers to working with vendors to install and configure their applications to support the needs of the company. I have travel internationally to work on site moves and redesigns, as well as, converting sites into our domain. This also includes working with external companies to assist in the selling off of international sites to local companies, which includes the transfer of data and mailboxes. I work closely with other groups in the company to provide support for project that require access to AD or the messaging infrastructure.

My responsibilities included System Administration of the institutional Windows domain that consists of 4 domains, WAN links to affiliate offices, 3500 users, 160 Dell servers, 16 HP servers and an Exchange 2003 e-mail infrastructure. I worked with departments in the institution to determine their needs and provide the technical knowledge to implement and maintain a server based solution. We work closely with our vendors to be sure that we are current with any software/firmware updates. My main tasks were managing the Exchange environment, including the Blackberry Enterprise Server, and the HP EVA SAN. Our SAN was in a "High Availability" configuration with 2 identical units with full replication in separate datacenters. This system maintained our file-and-print and Exchange environment. I worked on this system to provide boot-on-san for the file-and-print servers and clustering on the Exchange servers to allow for a 30 minute fail-over in the event of the primary datacenter failing. Upgrading of our Exchange environment from 2000 to 2003.This position allowed me to gain a deep knowledge of SAN's from Dell and HP; as well as, NAS products for both vendors. I took the institutional network from Banyan Vines 6.0 to Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000; and the e-mail infrastructure from Banyan Vines to Exchange 5.0 to Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 and finally 2003. Outlook Web Access has been a key piece of our Exchange environment, allowing user to access e-mail from remote locations. OWA has been in place since Exchange 5.5.

Provided high-level technical end-user support for desktop PC and Macintosh users. Administered the Banyan network, installed new servers, and maintained the NOS with any updates or patches. Communicated technological advances and issues to Support Analysts I & II. Served as project leader over the other Support Analysts. Analyzed current and future desktop technology needs in relation to the Mission and goals of the Institution.

Provided end-user support on PC and Macintosh based software and hardware and taught MS-DOS 6.x and Banyan Vines classes to institutional employees. Performed most of the administration to the Banyan network, including purchasing and configuring new servers, adding users and services and troubleshooting problems.

Designed and maintained Oracle and SIR Pharmacokinetics databases on a Data General and Digital VAX. This required me to develop reports and data export procedures for these databases, and coordinate/control data entry for databases. Performed PC support for the department, which included software, hardware, and network connectivity. Performed Banyan Vines network administration functions for the department.

Created and maintained Pharmacokinetics databases, writing programs to collect data, and facilitating statistical analyses of clinical studies on Data General and Digital's VAX systems.

Performed nightly batch ticket printing, DG/MV2000 computer system backups, and provided technical support to system end users. Occasionally field-replaced ticket printers.
