It’s the Nation's longest operating marketplace for direct-to-consumer auto finance.

Inboundgeo was a martech company that provided offline retargeting of online visitors. The value proposition was simple. Brands spend an enormous amount of money attracting web visitors. Inboundgeo helped identify household mailing addresses and monetize the last mile by following the pixel into the home with highly targeted direct mail. Changes in privacy standards and consumer geolocation preferences led to obsolesce of the business model. The company was shuddered at the end of 2023. Despite the closure, I'm proud to the team and the technology that brought this concept to life.

In December of 2010, St. Louis-based NSI Marketing Services and Chicago-based Frontenac acquired the assets of RAZOR in a private equity transaction. The combined company was rebranded as Ansira with offices in St. Louis, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

The formation of Razor Digital in 2006 marked the fourth consecutive iteration and the 10-year anniversary of the original Internet marketing entity, FS3 Interactive. Through a series of mergers, acquisitions, and spin-offs, South operated as FS3 Interactive (1995-1998), the Dallas office of Rare Medium (1998-2001), Andara Digital (2001-2005), and RAZOR Digital (2006-2007). And after a successful joint-venture period, Razor Digital was formally merged with RAZOR in a stock-swap transaction in 2008. Under South's direction, digital services within RAZOR grew from 2% to over 35% of the overall agency services mix.

Initially, Andara Digital was an Internet services company (founded by South) that specialized in digital strategy, Web site development, search marketing, and Internet application development. The firm helped clients use interactive solutions to drive incremental revenue and lower customer support costs. Key clients included: JCPenney, Pizza Hut, Kinkos, and CompUSA.

In November of 1998, South signed an LOI to merge FS3 with New York-based Rare Medium (NASDAQ: RRRR). Rare was one of the first publicly traded Internet development companies. In June of 1999, South played a key role in helping secure a $75 million investment from New York-based Apollo Management. South held positions as Chief Of Staff to the COO, Global Production Manager and Central Region GM.

With the decommissioning of ARPANET in 1990 and NFSNET (National Science Foundation Network) in 1995, all restrictions on the commercial use of the Internet were effectively lifted. In January of 1995, South founded FS3 Interactive as a professional services company advancing the commercial use of the Internet by developing websites and Internet applications. The company was best known for pioneering the use of the "blueprint format" to help clients understand the emerging Internet channel, key digital marketing concepts, and structural components of Web site development and Internet marketing. Key clients included: The Federal Reserve, Hotels.com (Hotel Reservations Network), AT&T, and Dr. Pepper.

South joined FCM Investments in 1990 and was tasked with developing a next generation system for trading and portfolio management. That work effort led to an investment from Richard Fisher (past president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas) and the formation of Fisher Information Systems. In 1993 South began transitioning the operations of FIS away from its focus on financial services to the emerging field of Internet marketing.

After college, South joined Ross Perot’s EDS and held various positions within the Credit Union Services group (CUNADATA). In 1988, South was promoted to Regional Manager for the Data Center Division and helped facilitate the consolidation and migration of data centers within a five-state region into EDS' larger and more strategic Information Processing Centers.
