Board Certified Family Physician with 24 years of clinical experience in multiple primary care settings as well as 17 years of progressive leadership experience in academic medical administration and education. In addition to my administrative and clinical work, I have developed and taught Narrative Medicine curricula for learners at The Ohio State University and Duke University Schools of Medicine and have led Narrative Medicine workshops for practicing clinicians at local, national, and international educational conferences. Principal investigator on research projects evaluating the use of Narrative Medicine to address burnout in clinicians, medical learners and administrators. My writing on the doctor-patient relationship has appeared in national publications and been anthologized in a college-level Composition and Rhetoric textbook.
