Passionate Experienced Educator with a demonstrated history of working in public education. Bailey brings eighteen years of secondary education experience working amongst multiple school districts in the Austin area (Pflugerville ISD, Austin ISD, and Manor ISD).Mr. Bailey was named Austin Under 40 finalist for 2020 and 2021 for his leadership & positive impact on student achievement!Bailey was one of Seven Outstanding Austin area educators honored by Alpha Kappa Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., at their Golden Apple Award Program. The 2018 Golden Apple Award Program honorees included men & women, and each person has a distinguished career in the field of education.Mr. Jon Bailey served as Principal of LBJ Early College H.S., Manor H.S., Principal at Decker M.S., A.P. at Decker M.S., A. P. at Manor M.S., & 9th Grade Principal at Manor H.S. In these leadership roles, he provided administrative support to instructional programs, assisted with the implementation of a campus-wide attendance committee, including policies and procedures for dropout prevention, and served as an advocate during student transition from middle school to high school. In addition, he used his musical talent to serve as a Drumline Instructor, for 10 years, with multiple extracurricular programs at various schools in Pflugerville ISD, Austin ISD, and Manor ISD.Under Jon Bailey's Principal Leadership-Manor High School-98% Graduation Rate (Class of 2018) the highest percentage the campus has accomplished in several years, $2 Million in Scholarships Awarded. Decker M. S. named "Texas School to Watch" 2016-2017 (first time) recognizing the campus’s significant academic gains while serving high-needs populations. Model school for academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity and organizational structures that supports middle level reform. As Principal of LBJ ECHS, the Graduation Rate increased from Class of 2019 90.9% to Class of 2020 94.0%, and LBJ ECHS Graduation Rate increased from Class of 2020 94% to Class of 2021 96%!Community Involvement is important to Mr. Bailey because it provides an endless opportunity to help individuals achieve their personal endeavors as they become global-citizens, life-long learners, and have a positive impact on the community! Serving as a Church Musician in Austin, TX for 18 years, Drumline Instructor for multiple school districts for 10 years, and remaining active with College Organizations from the University of Texas at Austin has allowed him the opportunity to greatly serve the Austin area community!
