- Understanding the processes that impact the Atlantic overturning circulation and the risk of it collapsing under greenhouse gas forcing using climate models and observations.- Investigating the past state of the ocean (e.g., temperature, salinity, circulation, sea-ice) by running and analysing global ocean reanalyses.

Research interests: Oceanography, fluid and climate dynamics, the carbon cycle, climate change. Investigating causes of glacial-interglacial cycles by modelling the ocean's global meridional overturning circulation (MOC) and carbon cycle, using simple models and more complex general circulation models (GCM's). I used the MITgcm to set up an idealised.

Subtropical Atlantic Ocean

I worked as part of the Ocean Tracers Team on a six week research cruise (DY040) across the subtropical Atlantic Ocean. I was responsible for obtaining and analysing water samples from a CTD instrument, and maintaining the measurement instruments. This involved excellent teamwork and communication skills for success. Few cocktails were consumed.
