Having recently closed my private practice, Jon Broome Architects, I am now focussing on providing consultancy services to organizations and individuals who share his commitment to creating community led housing and sustainable neigbourhoods. Consultancy services offered are focussed around community led housing and include – initial feasibility studies, site specific proposals, studies of demand and affordability, advice and support for community organizations and interactive workshops and lectures on specific topics such as self-build, low energy homes and development strategies.I have extensive experience in the design and construction of new homes in partnership with local authorities, housing associations, community led organizations and private developers. He has particular expertise in self-build, participatory design, and Passivhaus energy performance and sustainable, robust, value-for-money construction.
