CurrentSpectronics Corporation was founded in 1955. We are the world's leading manufacturer of fluorescent leak detection dyes and UV lights. These state-of-the-art products are built to exacting engineering standards and are utilized for applications that demand uncompromising quality and reliability. Spectroline® fluorescent dyes are used to check for air-conditioning and refrigeration leaks, as well as for fluid leaks in industrial facilities worldwide. Tracerline® fluorescent dyes, manufactured by our Tracer Products Division, detect leaks in vehicle A/C and fluid systems, and are installed on the production line in most cars made in the U.S. and around the world. Spectronics received the Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for technology that we developed to help protect the ozone layer and prevent global warming.Spectronics also manufactures electric pipe freezers. This technology is used to repair leaking water pipes in a wide range of commercial applications, as well as for the maintenance of nuclear reactors in the U.S. Navy’s submarine fleet.Nearly seven decades since our company was founded, the goal of Spectronics is still the same — to produce effective, top-quality products that are on the cutting edge of today's technology, with the utmost dedication to customer satisfaction.Our company’s 42,000 square foot manufacturing facility and 25,000 square foot corporate headquarters are both located in Melville, New York.
