A valued member of the London Marathon Events operations team. I have been instrumental in successfully delivering the London Marathon as well as all other mass participation events in the company’s portfolio. I am responsible for all logistical elements of the events and the management of teams of personnel within that field. I am experienced and self-motivated individual who employs a progressive approach to event logistics with a proven aptitude for planning and executing operational and logistical tasks to a high standard. In my time with the company I have implemented new processes and best practice that has improved the efficiency of the operational delivery exponentially. Possessing soft skills such as organisational expertise, critical & analytical thinking, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, leadership & influence and a creative and positive attitude has allowed me to achieve success within an already skilled and experienced team. Technical proficiency, most notably in Microsoft Excel, in which I have an Advanced Diploma is a key strength. In addition I have multiple forklift licences and am fully competent in all warehouse operational practices and have an extensive working knowledge of valuable hard skills such as goods in & out procedures, loading & unloading, use and storage of chemical and flammable materials, load securing techniques, working at height; including scissor lift operation and employment of power tools.I also have completed Institute of Operational Safety & Health (IOSH) Working Safely training and am First Aid and Fire Safety Marshal qualified. Key responsibilities & tasks:- Creation and development of multi-functional inventories for stock management.- Development and implementation of continuous improvement in all logistical processes.- Responsible for collation of all event equipment and kit requirements and their subsequent distribution.- Management of all signage elements of the events from conception to installation.- Lead on all vehicle loading & unloading including the formulation of schedules.- Identification and improvement of sustainability initiatives for all surplus materials accumulated by the events.- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large teams of staff on-site or remotely.- Build and maintain effective and lasting relationships with suppliers, contractors, temporary staff and hired crew.- Assignment to complex operational tasks to assist with problem solving on an ad-hoc basis.
