Manage the overall strategic direction of the program, initially focused on direct engagement with climate champions in the banking sector, and later pivoting to target specific outcomes in UK sustainable finance policy and regulation.

WWF UK lead on sustainable finance policy and regulatory development. Particular focus on the implementation of transition plans, including representing WWF as a member of the UK's Transition Plan Taskforce.

Led WWF UK’s sustainable finance policy programme, driving initiatives to align the financial system with net-zero and nature-positive outcomes, in close collaboration with the private sector, government, and financial regulators.

Designed and implemented a multi-stakeholder campaign which successfully advocated for government policy commitment to mandatory net-zero transition plans and aspiration towards a net zero financial centre, in the lead up to COP26 in Glasgow. Highlights: • Built strong, coordinated civil society groupings which fostered trust and close collaboration.• Co-designed a work program with a leading finance sector (corporate) partner, working closely on a shared advocacy strategy and the publication of a range of public policy positions. • Initiated and led research titled ‘The Big Smoke’, a pivotal project estimating the financed emissions of a sub-section of the UK finance sector which was represented in over 300 news outlets globally.

Responsible for providing research and policy analysis on UK and EU sustainable finance agendas aimed at delivering finance sector reform to scale up sustainable investment and identifying structural barriers for progress.Highlights: • Core member of the co-secretariat that successfully delivered the Green Finance Taskforce (GFT) report to UK government.• Managed key stakeholder relationships and helped convene meetings, workshops and roundtable discussions with government officials, NGOs and the private sector.

Responsible for overseeing, analysing and managing corporate action events across all markets and asset classes. The role required a broad understanding of the financial system, strong research and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate technical information across the business (including investment teams).
