The Charities Modernization project (CHAMP), is a multi-year project designed to modernize Canada Revenue Agency's (CRA's) legacy Charities applications. - Created user stories for various user interface components. This involved page design, field definitions, work flows and error messaging- Created test plan for the My Business Account Portal/CHAMP integration. This involved creating the execution plan, tracking spreadsheet and approximately 90 individual test cases. It also involved the creation of testing data requirements.- Defined and documented requirements for the In-Flight Information Returns. A return is considered "In-Flight" if it has been started but not completed. This analysis was undertaken as part of the data migration effort.- Designed and developed services to provide lists of filing periods. Filing periods could be selected based on status.- Designed and developed user permission services.- Performed high level, system and detailed analysis for the data interchange with the Ontario Ministry of Revenue. Designed and developed the services for the data interchange- Designed a test harness to allow all aspects of the XML processing (conversion, retrieval, update, storage) to be tested for performance. The test harness consisted of a driver and multiple threads to simulate large loads. Worked with the DBA to resolve issues identified during testing. - Design, develop and verify XML conversion layer. The conversion layer translated between XML and business domain objects using JAXB. Performed load and performance testing on the conversion layer- Designed and developed the batch job to produce the Charity Status Change report. This was developed using Java and Apache POI to generate a MS Excel spreadsheet.

Working on two IT projects simultaneously: Project 1: The Canadian Organ Replacement Register (CORR) captures information on patients treated for end-stage organ failure in Canada. - Streamline the processing of inbound data file- Troubleshoot data processing of inbound data filesProject 2: The Discharge Abstract Database (DAD) captures all information for patients discharged from hospitals across Canada.- Developed views using PL/SQL for the automation of the DAD downstream processing- Assist business clients in all testing and verification of the automationBoth projects- Work with data modellers and DBAs to develop data models- Perform the requisite unit, module, integration and performance testing- Identify, triage and resolve defects.- Conduct and participate in code reviews and apply all recommendations identified as part ofthese reviews- Adhere to the Agile development lifecycle methodologies, service management practices, systemdevelopment standards and quality assurance processes in use at CIHI.- Deliver clear and accurate technical documentation to include technical design and solution documentsas well as operational transition documents.- Assist clients in validating the automation processing using Junit and PL/SQL scripts.- Support end user verification and validation during the end of fiscal year data processing- Mentor junior developers via formal and informal knowledge transfer sessions- Perform unit testing of all data processing for the DAD automation.- Provide code review feedback.
