Jonathan is a Transportation Planner II at the Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission and Master's of City Planning graduate from San Diego State University (SDSU). With experience in long-range transportation planning, travel demand modeling, GIS mapping and analysis, and active transportation planning, Jonathan has a broad skillset and dedication to a holistic understanding of mobility at the regional level. As a student and young professional, Jonathan worked to advance alternative options for transportation to promote more equitable, healthy, and people-centered communities.Before starting his Master's at SDSU, Jonathan previously worked for Montrose Air Quality Services, collecting and analyzing emissions data from stationary sources such as power generating plants, refineries, and cement plants. By learning Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Jonathan was able to provide specialized testing capabilities for challenging projects and deliver comprehensive, accurate test results. Jonathan received his Bachelor's of Science in from UC Davis in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning in 2015.
