Profile bio

About Jon Sweet

I am an accomplished intelligence professional and leader who served 30 years within the Defense Intelligence Enterprise as an U.S. Army Military Intelligence Officer, contributing to National Security. I am a proactive and innovative creative thinker with a proven track record of leveraging the Intelligence Community and Strategic Partners to develop solutions to existing intelligence gaps and requirements.I began writing on the 'special military operation' in Ukraine shortly after Russia invaded, initially using LinkedIn to publish my articles, but was fortunate to have FOX News, The Hill, Washington Examiner, and the National Security News out of London, pick-up my articles. I have since been published in 1945, the Kyiv Post, Euromaidan and The Messenger, along with two appearances on CNN, and frequent appearances on Inside Sources with Boyd Matheson and TVP World out of Poland.I synthesize the vast amount of open-source intelligence out there on the internet being presented to the public, make sense of it, then add the element of predictive analysis - what it means, and what is going to happen next. As a former commander once told me - "I don't need a history lesson, I need to know what is going to happen next and how can I influence it." I have teamed up with two co-authors and friends - Mark Toth and Mike Pregent, who bring their unique backgrounds and perspectives to our work.

Listed skills include Intelligence Analysis, National Security, Army, Intelligence, and 46 others.
