The station, a joint partnership between Anthony, Chesney, and Mark Tamburino, began as an internet-only station in 2009 following a successful initial run on XM Satellite Radio. In 2016, NSR announced a multi-year exclusive distribution agreement with SiriusXM.No Shoes Radio features music from Chesney's eclectic audio catalog, including never-before-heard recordings, live concert broadcast, and random drop-ins from fans, tour staff, and Kenny's superstar friends. Plus, fans hear all of Kenny's favorite songs -- everything from the rocking sounds of Bruce Springsteen and Def Leppard to the Caribbean grooves of Bob Marley & The Wailers -- plenty of music that bring to life the "no shoes" attitude that permeates Kenny Chesney's world! While concurrently directing all operations for No Shoes Radio, I accepted an interim programming position with WSIX to lead The BIG 98's transformation back to a nationally-recognized format leader in country radio. Intense focus was placed on strengthening relationships with Nashville industry leaders and enhancing local artist involvement to complement a talented on-air staff and revived brand culture. The efforts resulted in ratings and sales success that continues to build under the current station leadership. On a corporate level, I also contributed to the design and content of next-generation iHeartRadio platform applications.
