I worked as an undergraduate an LA in OSU's college of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering. I worked in the Heat Transfer course (CHE 332) in the winter term of 2021, and moved on to the Transport Lab course (CHE 334) in the spring term. My role involved running interactive class and laboratory sessions, helping students with homework and lab reports, and grading assignments. I enjoyed being able to work with students and share what I learned from my favorite courses of my junior year.

My student support role had a wide range of assignments all based around fulfilling technical needs of the engineering department. I collaborated daily with an experienced chemical engineer to prepare processes for classes, install and maintain lab equipment, and design and fabricate necessary hardware for the labs in Johnson Hall and Gleeson Hall.

Portland, Oregon, United States

I was the lifeguard auditor for the city of Portland in the summer of 2021.In this role, I performed 20 to 30 audits of lifeguards across 11 facilities each week as the city’s sole lifeguard auditor. In these audits I evaluated a wide range of critical safety practices, led individual performance reviews, and designed remediation plans where necessary. Through this, I helped to improve lifeguard performance and uphold strict safety standards during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Assistant Pool Manager at Creston Pool in Portland, OR for the summers of 2018 and 2019. At the pool I managed 15 to 20 staff members every day and worked extensively with the pool patrons. I also administered and scheduled all pool lessons and programs (5 to 8 per week). My responsibilities were primarily focused on maintaining safety and managing the pool employees.
