It all began in a local bookstore with Jonathan Bates, the founder of The Good Java Company. The name and logo of TGJC suddenly appeared in his mind and he quickly sketched them out on a napkin, envisioning a Christian-based business. Although he never before imagined starting a coffee company, he felt led to follow this path, and chose to do so with courage and faith, standing on: Proverbs 3:5-6“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”Since then, The Good Java Company has experienced great success, both online and in fine retail locations. They have been providing Life-Changing coffee in their hometown of Lancaster, PA, and beyond since 2012. TGJC has been striving to make a positive impact on many, through their small batch roasted coffees.
