CurrentTechnical:• Principal investigator for the AFRL OPERA program investigating advanced physics-based radar and ladar features for automatic target recognition (ATR). Coordinating the efforts of two university teams and other industry partners.• Principal investigator for the AFRL CASE program investigating approaches to drive down the sustainment costs for air-to-ground radar-based ATR through the development of novel modeling techniques and advanced physics-based multi-feature fusion approaches.• Principal investigator for the AFRL PRIDE program creating bistatic SAR ATR technologies.• Providing senior technical guidance for a ladar-based combat ID capability development program.• Served as the local technical lead for an EW research, development, and test effort. • Led an effort to understand, review and critique the signal processing chain for a complex ladar sensor system being developed for DARPA. Developed a series of seminars to educate the Government customer on the details of the processing chain. Prepared for and participated in flight testing of the sensor.Leadership and Business Development:• Acting as principal investigator leading small technical teams solving complex research and development challenges. Serving as senior advisor to ancillary efforts. • Project management skills developed through responsibilities for project plan, budget, and labor resources on small to moderate-sized efforts.• Technical leadership including oversight, skills development and mentorship of staff.• Key contributor to business development activities including development of technical solutions and proposal writing.
