In 2016 began working for Marston’s PLC as an area manager, my goal was to broaden my experience of multisite operations. I worked within Marston’s town centre division and gained a deeper understanding of multisite management and liaison with a large team at head office. After 12 months with Marston’s, I made the decision to once again work for myself.

My company owned 4 leasehold properties over this 10-year period. I purchased distressed assets and converted them into desirable establishments. My key responsibilities were:• Negotiating funding, leases and supplier chains• Working with marketing firms to develop branding• Utilising demographics and market segmentation information• Managing Designers, Quantity Surveyors, EPOS, Licencing and building contractors• Recruiting and training team members• H&S and risk management• Monthly budget reviewExit strategy and selling the venues to maximise profit

Over 4 years with Luminar Leisure I was tasked with opening 8 Chicago Rock Cafés, ensuring effective launch processes and minimising new opening costs. I was also responsible for the recruitment and coaching of over 400 team members. I lead the teams into the highest level of Company Policy compliance while also achieving higher than budget revenues. I achieved this through, both, prudent Training and Development and tailoring my approach towards the local customer base.
