Multi-faceted in the worlds of both music and data, I have obtained both my bachelor's in music composition and minor in arts administration from Texas Christian University, as well as working towards completing my professional certification in data analysis from Southern Methodist University. I'm often asked how those two seemingly unrelated topics coexist and my response is that I consider myself a very analytical thinker. In composition, this means I typically write my music line-by-line, or one instrument at a time, rather than from a holistic standpoint. For me, this is achieved in a progressive manner, one that feels logical. Conceptually, this flows over in my approach to gathering and analyzing data as well. Of course, it's important to take in everything that's in front of you when gathering information for your projects. However, when developing code, creating/manipulating data, performing an exploratory analysis, etc., it's crucial to consider the specifics of what is being utilized and formulated.I discovered an intense passion for music at a very young age. Starting with piano lessons at age 8, my developing skills lead me to pursue other instruments including: clarinet (particularly bass clarinet), violin/viola, guitar, voice, and becoming a *certified* air-drummer. Primarily due to my hatred for practicing scales on the piano, I began to play around with different rythmatic and melodic elements. This creative freedom gaveway to my love for composing and music production. My composing software of choice is Finale, but I have expertise in Logic Pro, Cubase, Sibelius, and MuseScore as well. As for analyzing data and web design, I'm proficient in Python and have experience in JavaScript, HTML, SQL and VBA. I can utilize Visual Studio and Jupyter Notebook to an intermediate level.Other passions in my life include my landscape/abstract photography and focusing on my "Chippimunkoo" brand in which I stream content as a Twitch Affiliate and create other video content utilizing Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom, HitFilm, and Movavi for editing purposes!
