He flew combat medical evacuation missions in Operation Desert Storm with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was Head of the Spatial Orientation Systems Department at the Naval Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory in Pensacola, Fla., Head of the Aeromedical Department at the Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One in Yuma, Ariz., and Head of the Neurology Division at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute.He completed his internship and residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital and is a board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
