Assisted several divisions of News Corporation on digital media strategies and products, including TV Everywhere products, digital advertising sales, and tablet and smart-phone application strategy.

Operated Fox Digital Media, the corporate digital unit of Fox Networks Group (FNG). Oversaw digital advertising sales strategy, staff, and operations for eight FNG digital properties, earning over $40m in annual digital advertising revenue. Managed $30m expense budget supporting technology development for 30+ digital entertainment/sports properties and $150m in digital revenue. Conducted turn-around of previously faltering division, consistently growing the unit's responsibility, employees (from 30 to 100 FTEs), digital advertising revenue (by 65%), and video advertising sell-out levels (from 35% to 92%) over a two-year period. Conceived and launched several industry leading digital businesses and products, including 14 regional sports network digital properties (from zero to 10m unique users in 18 months), SPEED2 (FNG's first TV Everywhere channel), BigTenTicket and StudentU (over 1000 domestic and international live and on-demand streaming sports events), and FOX and FX on Demand.

Established electronic sell-through, rental, and ad-supported streaming businesses for Fox Entertainment Group's film and television studios, and broadcast and cable networks (generating hundreds of millions in annual revenue today). Launched the first long-form entertainment streaming player by a major broadcast network (FOX on Demand), and orchestrated the first branded advertising profile utilizing professional video inside of MySpace in partnership with Burger King.

Managed launch of Hulu's corporate entity, broadband video portal, and video player distribution network as lead News Corp operational executive. Oversaw over 100 employees on two coasts from three separate companies (News Corp, NBC-Universal, and Hulu) in providing operational foundation for most successful online video company in history.

Advised FCC Chairman Powell on all media and broadband issues before the Commission. Served as a primary architect and advocate of FCC's Digital Television Transition ultimately adopted by Congress. Plan raised $20b in auction revenue for the US Treasury, reallocated analog broadcast spectrum for current wireless broadband spectrum and services, and doubled the amount of spectrum available for public safety wireless services.

Federal Communications Commission

Developed first national broadband plan for the United States--the economic, policy, and legal framework for the modern day broadband Internet access industry that was adopted by the FCC and upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States. Facilitated the widespread roll out of wired and wireless broadband infrastructure in the United States currently enjoyed by over 75m households and 200m wireless users. Additionally advised Chairman Powell on media ownership, digital television, spectrum allocation, local telephone, and homeland security policies.
