As the AS400 Manager I was responsible for a system upgrade from an IBM AS400 720 series to an IBM AS400 820 series. I installed operating system PTF’s to keep the operating system current and up to date. I also managed all vendors and expenses related to the AS400 software. I designed and wrote an ePaperwork document retrieval and distribution system in RPGLE that transmitted the freight bills and supporting paperwork to Navajo’s customers base. I also assisted users in training of the ICC trucking software on the system.

I designed and developed software that increased productivity in the order pulling and shipping of products for Trico. These programs were written in RPGLE and ran on the AS400 and hand held bar code scanners, I also managed and applied software fixes to the existing EDI system that allowed customers to submit and track orders electronically.

I served as the lead analyst in the design and development of the store supply inventory management module and the interfaces between the existing store ordering system on IBM PS/2 and the store supply system on an IBM RS6000 and existing accounting systems on the IBM AS400. As lead analyst my duties included the supervision and planning of other team members. Programs were also created on the AS400 to supplement the store supply inventory management module to handle the processing of orders through EDI. This was accomplished by the use of PC Support commands and CL and COBOL programs.

Duties included the modification of American Software Inc., and Computer Associates, order processing, inventory, accounts receivable, general ledger, and accounts payable software packages to meet the needs of American Nursery Products and its various divisions. I also maintained all computer equipment and supporting devices not covered in our maintenance agreement with IBM, and created operator and run time documentation on all production jobs on the system as well as all job schedules.
